Need stringent action!
- The SHO Police Station Bus Stand Vishal Dogra has promptly acted and solved the mystery of ETM theft.
- The MD JKRTC RK Srangal has come in tough in this theft case and immediately initiated departmental enquiry.
- The accused conductor has been terminated from the services immediately.
- JKSRTC has outsourced the manpower and the BD Securities agency has sent the said accused conductor.

Jammu, Oct 13: How can a conductor of Jammu & Kashmir Road Transport Corporation dare to steal the Electronic Ticketing Machine from the office? Who is behind the said thief conductor? How many days the thief conductor has misused the Electronic Ticketing Machine? How much financial loss has been incurred by using this stolen machine by the thief conductor as parallel machine? These are some harsh points where the administration must work and plug the loopholes.
The corruption and theft is not new in the Jammu & Kashmir Road Transport Corporation and this is the main reason that the Corporation has faced huge loss in past and never earned profit. The staff of the JKSRTC ever remained very callous and this is also one of the reasons for downfall of said Corporation.
The theft case has cropped up when the tickets were remained unmatched, besides the flying squad of the JKRTC has witnessed that the bus of the same conductor was carrying the passengers with full capacity but when the same conductor for the same trip has deposited very less revenue than the officers got suspicious over his activities. Meanwhile, there was a report from the Jammu office situated in Jammu Bus Stand that one Electronic Ticketing Machine is missing from the office.
The General Manager (Operation) Jammu Showkat Ahmed has filed a written complaint with Police Station, Bus Stand Jammu about the missing of and the SHO Vishal Dogra has registered the FIR 52/2022 under section 380. SHO Vishal Dogra promptly acted on the complaint and solved the case within a very short time by arresting the main accused in the theft case. The accused conductor has been identified as Bhanu Partap Singh son of Isher Dass resident of Rajbagh Kathua and during questioning he confessed the theft of Electronic Ticketing Machine. The police recovered the stolen Electronic Ticketing Machine from his possession.
The police has questioned two more persons in this connection and kept them for a day for questioning. In this case the police is carrying the investigation in depth and it is assumed that moiré officials are involved in this episode. The police has obtained 5 days remand to investigate in the initial stage.
The General Manager has constituted a committee to have departmental enquiry to ascertain the reason behind this theft. The Managing Director Rakesh Kumat Srangal KAS also initiated a departmental enquiry by constituting a committee to ascertain the actual reason behind this. The MD is in the view that no official will be spared if found involved in any sort of anti-corporation activity.
