Jammu, 19th October 2026:
In a significant step towards further strengthening operational efficiency and safety in Jammu Division, the foundation stone for the new Integrated Control Office was laid today, 19 October 2026, at Jammu Tawi.
The foundation stone for the new Control Office was laid by Sh. Vivek Kumar, IRSSE, Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu. On this occasion, Sh. Akshay Kumar Marantu, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu, along with senior officers from all departments were also present.
This new Control Office is being built with the concept of bringing the controls of all departments under one roof. This integrated control will house controls of all departments including Operating, Engineering, Signal & Telecommunication and Electrical, which will lead to better coordination and greater efficiency in train operation, monitoring and management.
The new Control Office will be equipped with modern facilities and latest technology.
This new integrated Control Office will prove to be a milestone in meeting the growing traffic requirements of Jammu Division and for its future expansion.
